The sign up for the IMPA GSR Services workshop for the preparation of supplier documents (MDs and SDoCs) for the implementation of the requirements of the ‘Hong Kong Convention Regulation 5.1 and the associated IMP IHM-Guideline as well as the EU Regulations on Ship Recycling.
Building on the highly popular IMPA webinar offered to members in later 2020, IMPA has once again teamed up with expert partners GSR Services to offer this workshop for those suppliers still struggling with the concepts and issues around IHM Maintenance.
The ongoing requirements for suppliers will mean that ship owners and managers will require certain documents and you have the liability and requirement to assist, manage and control. Its been a confusing journey to understand the issues at stake but IMPA is at hand to help. Tuesday 16th February
The workshop and the presentation materials are intended to support the supplier in the preparation of the required documentation for delivered products based on the “Guidelines for the Preparation of Inventory of Hazardous Materials
(MEPC.Res. 269(68)) under consideration of the additionally required substances as per
EU-SRR and ISO 30005.
On the basis of the legal requirements for Material Declarations (MDs) and Suppliers Declaration of Conformity (SDoC), participants will learn and understand the necessary action and organisation required for internal exchange as well as the data and configuration management for the respective departments. In addition, the material data exchange between the supplier and their supply chain in relation to collection, control, merging, maintenance, and forwarding will be discussed with a future-proof oriented manner, taking into account liability related contexts.
The aim of this stimulating and insightful workshop is to set the foundation for effective MD-development and
MD-maintenance in line with IMO and EU requirements. For this purpose, it is advisable that related departments are participating in the workshop, there is no limit to the participants joining the workshop from your organisation.
One of the many intended outcomes of this workshop is to work out the integration of documentation and maintenance into existing structures and to highlight decisions that will be necessary in the future
(“task list”).
